Zero-Nicotine Disposables: What Shops Should Stock

Zero-Nicotine Is Now a Shelf Decision, Not a Novelty Buy

For years, a zero-nicotine disposable was a courtesy SKU. You kept one or two on the shelf for the customer who wanted the hand-to-mouth habit without the nicotine, and you did not think much about it. That has changed. Manufacturers are now building 0% versions of the same high-puff hardware they sell in nicotine, which means the category has real depth for the first time.

The practical question for a shop is not whether zero-nicotine sells. It is how much shelf and cash to give it, and which puff band to buy into. That is where most retailers get it wrong.

What the Current Zero-Nic Lineup Actually Looks Like

The devices getting attention right now are not small. They are 30,000 to 60,000 puff disposables with rechargeable batteries, mesh coils, and in some cases adjustable airflow and screen displays. A few examples that have come through the wholesale channel:

  • Remit Popmist 60K — 0% nicotine, up to 60,000 puffs, 38ml pre-filled, 850mAh rechargeable, with adjustable ice and sourness and a 3D screen.
  • iJOY XP50000 — 0% nicotine, up to 50,000 puffs in normal mode, 20ml tank, 1000mAh battery, dual mesh coils, adjustable airflow.
  • Pyne Pod L&A 40K — 0% nicotine, up to 40,000 puffs, integrated rechargeable battery, upgraded mesh coil.
  • Arc Hypertine 35K — 0% nicotine, 35,000 puff class, positioned on flavor and longevity.

Notice the pattern. These are not stripped-down devices. They carry the same feature sets as their nicotine counterparts, which tells you the manufacturers expect zero-nic buyers to care about hardware, not just about what is missing from the juice.

The Puff Band Question: Where Zero-Nic Actually Sells

Our disposable shelf runs from under 10,000 puffs to 150,000+, and the 50,000–80,000 band carries the most depth across the catalog. That is where the volume is. But zero-nicotine does not behave exactly like the nicotine side of the same band.

In our experience working with licensed retailers, the 0% buyer splits into two groups. One is the customer stepping down from nicotine who still wants a big device and a long puff count. They will pay for a 40K or 50K unit. The other is the casual buyer who wants flavor and clouds without the nicotine and does not want to commit to a large device. That second group is where a lot of shops over-order.

The safe move is to anchor zero-nic in the 30,000–50,000 puff range and keep one or two 60K+ halo SKUs for the customer who asks for the biggest number on the shelf. Do not build a full wall of 60K zero-nic before you know your sell-through. The margin per unit is there, but the cash tied up per SKU is higher than a 10K device, and zero-nic turns slower than nicotine in most shops.

Flavor Mix and Case Economics

Zero-nicotine sells on flavor. Without nicotine, the throat hit is gone, so the customer is buying taste, cooling, and vapor. That means your flavor mix matters more than your device mix once you have picked a puff band.

Stock fruit and ice-forward profiles first. Strawberry mango, strawberry clouds, and similar fruit-forward names are the ones that move. Sour and ice-adjustable devices have an edge here because the customer can tune the experience, which is a real selling point at the counter when you cannot offer a nicotine strength choice.

On ordering, remember how our case pricing works. Orders over $2,500 reach the deepest case price tier, and that tier is written for single-flavor cases. Mixed-flavor cases within one product line are allowed, but they do not reach that tier. If you want the best landed cost on zero-nic, pick your two or three best-selling flavors and buy them in single-flavor cases rather than spreading the same dollars across six flavors in mixed cases.

Freight is a flat $29.99 below $1,500 and free at $1,500 or more to a business address in the contiguous 48 states. If you are testing a new zero-nic line, it usually makes sense to combine it with your regular reorder to clear the freight threshold rather than placing a small standalone order.

Compliance and Reorder Timing

Zero-nicotine does not change your compliance obligations. Every vape shipment we send requires an adult signature at delivery, 21+, and PACT Act labeling and reporting still applies. If you are new to ordering wholesale, our PACT Act compliance and shipping rules page lays out what to expect, and licensing requirements covers what we need from you before the first order ships.

Reorder timing is the part most shops get wrong on zero-nic. Because it turns slower than nicotine, a 60K device can sit for weeks. That is fine if you bought one case. It is a problem if you bought five. Watch your sell-through for the first 30 days before you commit to a deeper buy, then reorder in the flavor that actually moved.

Orders placed before 2pm Pacific ship the same business day from our California and Texas warehouses. Net 30 terms open up after three settled orders, which helps if you want to test a zero-nic line without paying upfront each time.

What to Do This Month

If you have not stocked zero-nicotine beyond a token SKU, start with two devices in the 30,000–50,000 puff band and three flavors. Buy single-flavor cases if you can clear the $2,500 tier, or combine with your regular order to hit free freight. Track sell-through for a month, then decide whether to add a 60K halo SKU or deepen the flavors that worked.

The category is real, but it is not a volume driver the way nicotine disposables are. Treat it as a margin and basket-size play, not a traffic play, and you will stock it correctly.
