XROS 6 vs XROS 6 Mini: What Shops Should Stock

Vaporesso’s two newest XROS kits share a pod platform and a 30W ceiling. The differences sit in the body: the XROS 6 carries a screen, a fire button and faster charging; the Mini drops all three and keeps a 1600mAh battery. For a shop, that is not a spec-sheet question. It is a question about which customer picks up which box, and how many pods you commit to behind the counter.

Buyers deciding whether that feature set justifies the shelf space can also compare XROS 6 with VIBE SE 2 on battery, controls, pod strategy and customer fit.

The shared platform is the buying decision

Both devices take the Vaporesso XROS Pod Series, including the COREX 3.0 cartridges. That single fact does more for your inventory than any feature on either device. One pod SKU covers two kits. You are not splitting your coil and pod buy across two incompatible families, and a customer who buys the Mini today can move to the full-size device later without abandoning the pods already in their drawer.

COREX 3.0 pods are listed in four resistances: 0.4Ω for restricted direct lung, 0.6Ω as a loose MTL or RDL middle ground, 0.8Ω for a tighter mouth-to-lung draw, and 1.0Ω for the tightest MTL option. The 0.6Ω ships with both kits. The full-size XROS 6 adds a 0.8Ω in the box; the Mini ships with the 0.6Ω only.

That packaging difference has a practical consequence. A Mini buyer who wants a tighter draw has to buy pods on day one. A full-size buyer does not. If you stock the Mini, keep 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω pods on the wall next to it, not in a drawer.

Where the two devices actually separate

Both units run adjustable Venturi airflow, both top out at 30W, and both use SSS 2.0 leak-resistance construction. The split is control.

  • XROS 6: 1800mAh battery, 0.88-inch TFT display, draw or button activation, adjustable output in 0.5W steps with the 0.4Ω pod, and USB-C input at 5V/3A or 9V/2A. Vaporesso states roughly 50% charge after ten minutes under its specified conditions.
  • XROS 6 Mini: 1600mAh battery, no screen, draw activation only, automatic output, USB-C at 5V/2A. The body is about 11mm shorter.

The battery gap is 200mAh. Do not sell it as a battery-life gap. The Mini has no screen to feed and its output is preset, so real-world runtime sits closer to the full-size device than the numbers suggest. The honest distinction is charging speed and the ability to tune wattage, not how long a charge lasts.

Who asks for the screen

Customers who already rebuild or run box mods want the display and the 0.5W adjustment. They will ask for it by name. Customers stepping up from a disposable want a device that works when they inhale, and the Mini is that device. Both are refillable, both need a pod prime, and both need airflow set before the first puff.

What this means for your order

Treat the two kits as one line, not two. Order the full-size XROS 6 as the anchor and the Mini as the volume unit, then let pod sales tell you which way to lean on the reorder.

  1. Stock both kits. The shared pod platform means the downside of carrying two SKUs is small.
  2. Match pod depth to kit mix. If the Mini outsells the full-size, your 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω pod reorder needs to move up, because Mini buyers do not get a second pod in the box.
  3. Watch the 0.4Ω pod. It only reaches its full range on the full-size device, where 0.5W adjustment is available. If you sell the 0.4Ω heavily, the full-size kit is the device to push alongside it.
  4. Keep the refillable set separate from disposables on the shelf. A customer comparing a 50,000-puff disposable to a 3mL pod kit is making a different decision than one comparing two pod kits.

Pod capacity is 3mL in standard configuration, with a 2mL TPD variant. Coils and pods generally move in 5-piece packs, which sets the natural reorder unit for the counter.

If you are adding refillable hardware for the first time, the XROS line is a reasonable entry point because the pod platform is established and the two kits cover both customer types. Our wholesale pod systems range is where those kits sit, and approved accounts can see current pricing after sign-in. Anything outside standard case quantities should be confirmed in a written quote for the exact product and quantity.

Buying checklist before you commit

Confirm three things before the order goes in. First, which resistances your counter actually moves, because that decides your pod depth more than the kit split does. Second, whether your customer base skews toward disposable converts or existing refillable users, since that decides your kit ratio. Third, your reorder interval on pods, because pods, not kits, are what bring the customer back.

New accounts can review how wholesale ordering works before setting up, and licensed retailers can apply for an account to see live pricing. Terms, minimums and freight come from your written quote, not from this page.
