Flavor restrictions in several states have narrowed what a disposable can legally deliver. In those markets, a customer who wants anything other than tobacco or unflavoured has two options: drive across a state line, or buy a refillable device. Pod kits are what they buy. That shift is already visible in reorder patterns, and it changes what belongs on your shelf this quarter.
Disposables won on convenience. No filling, no coil changes, no thinking. The trade-off was always flavour range and waste, and regulation has now made both of those visible to the customer standing at your counter.
A pod system keeps most of the convenience. The user fills a pod, replaces it when it fades, and charges the battery. That is a smaller jump for a disposable customer than a mod and tank, which is why pod kits convert better than anything else in the refillable category.
There is also a compliance angle. Every vape shipment we send requires an adult signature and follows PACT Act labelling and reporting. That does not change with device type, but it does mean a customer who moves to refillable is not escaping paperwork — they are just buying a different product.
Our warehouse carries roughly 280 SKUs across about 128 brands. Not all of them deserve a peg. For a shop converting disposable traffic, a short, deep pod assortment beats a wide, shallow one.
If you want a broader starting point, our wholesale pod systems and kits page lists what is currently in stock across these tiers.
The device is not the margin. The pod and the coil are. A customer who buys one kit and never returns is a worse account than a disposable buyer. A customer who buys pods every two weeks is a better one.
That means your opening order should weight toward consumables. Coils are usually sold in 5-piece packs, so a modest coil buy goes further than it looks. Pod cartridges are the same story. If you stock the device without the pod, you have created a customer who will buy their refills online.
E-liquid is the second half of that equation. A refillable customer needs something to put in the pod, and flavour range is the whole reason they switched. We carry freebase at 3, 6 and 12mg, salt at 35, 50 and 55mg, and nicotine-free options. Salt is the usual match for a low-wattage pod; freebase suits the higher-wattage kits. Our wholesale e-liquid and nicotine salt range covers both.
One practical note on coils and pods: they are the easiest line to run out of. Set a reorder trigger at roughly two weeks of cover, not one, because these items move in bursts when a device takes off.
Pod kits are lighter and smaller than a case of disposables, which makes them easy to fold into an existing order rather than shipping separately. Freight is a flat $29.99 below $1,500 and free at $1,500 or more to a business address in the contiguous 48 states. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
The tier that matters is $2,500. Orders above that line reach the deepest case price, and that tier is written for single-flavour cases. Mixed-flavour cases inside one product line are allowed, but they do not reach it. If you are close to the line and want the better price, consolidating flavours is usually the cheaper move.
Opening order minimum is $500. After that there is no minimum, so a pod and coil top-up can go out on its own. Orders placed before 2pm Pacific ship the same business day from California or Texas. Net 30 terms open up after three settled orders.
If you are building a first pod order alongside your disposable buy, our coils, pods and accessories range is the place to check consumable depth before you commit to a device.
Two things decide whether a pod line works for you. First, pod availability. A device with no pods in the channel is a dead SKU, no matter how good the hardware is. Second, coil compatibility across generations. Some brands keep pods backward-compatible, which is a real advantage for a shop that does not want to carry three generations of the same line.
Start narrow. Two or three devices, the pods and coils for each, and a small e-liquid selection that matches the wattage. Expand once you see which one your customers come back for. That is a lower-risk entry than a full pod wall, and it tells you more about your own foot traffic than any category list will.
